Students love to doodle. I like to repurpose their doodling skills for note-taking. Doodle notes are a great way to see the overall picture. Students love them because they’re actively learning. They interact with visual triggers, which increases their focus and boosts their memory for the lesson material. They become excited (imagine!) and engaged. What’s not to like? I love them because they give a big-picture approach, they’re interactive, and they get them thinking. Win-win.

I like to scaffold them using pre-made doodle notes. Here’s a before and after example.

You can make your own using something like Canva. Canva has loads of pre-made elements and layouts and an impressive array of pictures. And here’s a shameless link to Doodle Notes in my store!
