I spent over 30 years teaching. Loved the kids, loved the subject, loved making lessons. Still do.
But somewhere between the marking, the admin, the parents, the meetings, and the forty-seven other things that weren't actually teaching — the joy started getting buried.
So I started putting my resources on TPT. Went to bed one evening after uploading a few things. Woke up to sales notifications.
And I thought — right. There's something in this.
Here's what I've learned since: the lessons that actually land aren't the ones that follow the textbook to the letter. They're the ones with a bit of personality. A bit of surprise. The ones where kids look up from their desks and forget they're supposed to be bored.
