Plan 1 The Solar System
The Starry Messenger is a 2 page newspaper which introduces the students to some of the wonderful facts about our universe. A worksheet accompanies this. Also included is an activity where the students can cut out the planets which are in the correct proportion to each other.
Plan 2 – Mendeleev and The Periodic Table
2 page newspaper on Mendeleev and his discovery of the periodic table. This is accompanied by a worksheet that the students will work on based on the newsletter. A teacher answer sheet accompanies this.
Plan 3 – Robert Hooke and Hooke’s Law
2 page newspaper on Hooke and Hooke’s Law. This is accompanied by a worksheet and graphing activity that the students will work on based on the newsletter. A teacher answer sheet accompanies this.

2 page newspaper outlining a short biography of Archimedes and his discovery of density. A density activity worksheet accompanies the reading article.

A 2 page newspaper article outlining the major contributors to the discovery of the structure of the atom from Democritus to Neils Bohr. This differentiated article comes with questions on the text.
Plan 6 – Isaac Newton and Force and Motion
This article introduces the Newton and his three laws to the student. A differentiated worksheet accompanies this reading article.
Plan 7 – Electricity – The War of The Currents This reading article tells the story of the war of the currents between Edison and Tesla. A worksheet and graphing activity accompany this reading article. Your students will love it!
