Science Stations allows the students to collect data and infer weather patterns.

 

  • Observe It – at this station the students will directly observe the Coriolis Effect. They’re going to love this one.
  • Watch It – students watch a short video which explains how uneven heating affects global circulation.
  • Label It – student read about the layers of the atmosphere and label a diagram in their student record sheets based on the text.
  • Tech It – at this station the students will go to a website which shows live currents and sea temperatures.
  • Explain It – at this station the students will examine and explain a graphic showing the orographic effect and the rain shadow effect.
  • Illustrate It – students read about the earth’s energy budget and illustrate this.
