The Flower Press newspaper with accompanying worksheet. This 2 page newspaper outlines the milestones in the discovery of photosynthesis. Perfect for non-fiction scientific literacy and a lovely introduction to photosynthesis.
- Comic No 1 – Photosynthesis – an overview of photosynthesis and the structure of the leaf
- Comic No 2 – The Starch Test – this comic shows the steps in this important experiment and why we do each of the steps.
- Comic No 3 – To show that light is necessary for photosynthesis – another classic experiment with emphasis on why we do each of the steps.
With each of these comics students read a supplied text and then make their own comic using the images supplied. A “no-prep” and differentiated version are also included. This will really let their creativity loose!
