Description
This comprehensive Middle School NGSS LAB is designed to align with the NGSS Middle School MS-LS1-6 standard “Construct a scientific explanation based on evidence for the role of photosynthesis in the cycling of matter and flow of energy into and out of organisms”.
Over 22 pages of student activities complete and compliment this engaging resource. Teacher directions and answer keys are included.
Here’s what’s included in these Science Stations
- Read It – at this station the students will read a short account of the early experiments in the discovery of photosynthesis. It’s a fascinating story and the ingenuity of the experiments is remarkable.
- Make It – This will really help them understand the process. Full instructions provided, easily accessible materials.
- Analyze It – here the students will draw a graph based on data obtained from an experiment on the effects of light intensity on the rate of photosynthesis and answer questions based on their findings.
- Explore It – this station allows the students to explore where the energy in their food ultimately comes from.
- Illustrate It – at this station the students will illustrate the process of photosynthesis in their Student Record Sheets.
✋FOR EARLY FINISHERS – I’ve included an extra station for early finishers or for students waiting on a station.
